Photo of eyelid and wrinkle Thermage Treatment

Welcome to the Eye Wrinkle Treatment Website

Wrinkles around the eyes, either on the lids or around the eyes (crow’s feet) are very ageing. Wrinkles occur when the skin starts to lose its elasticity and volume, becoming baggy and looser.

Putting on make-up, such as eye shadow, can become more difficult; not only to get a smooth finish, but the make-up, can end up in the creases! Or is hidden by the ‘hooding’ of the upper eyelid.

What treatment is available for eye wrinkles?

Botox and fillers cannot be used around the eye as the skin is too thin and until recently, surgery (such as blepharoplasty) has been the only effective treatment.

But now, help is at hand in the form of Thermage® - as used recently by Amanda Holden.

This is a non surgical treatment which can deal with:

  • loose and crepey skin on the eyelid
  • wrinkles around the eyes
  • hooding of the skin above the eye

Using well-established principles of radio-frequency skin tightening, Thermage® is specifically aimed at tightening the skin of the upper eyelids and the skin immediately surrounding the eyes.

The advantages of this non-invasive treatment is that it can be performed at Absolute Aesthetics, it requires no surgery or injections at all - just some local anaesthetic drops to the eye and only takes about 1 to 2 hours to perform. There is no 'downtime' and you can go about your normal activities immediately post-treatment. Makeup can be applied very soon after the treatment has finished.

Some improvement can be seen immediately in many people, but the full effect is not seen until the skin has completed its healing process, between three and six months post-treatment. The benefits can last up to six years.

Why not contact us today to see if Thermage® is suitable for you?

Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra Case Series

Absolute Aesthetics are looking for volunteers to take part in a case series to treat Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra. This condition is a common disorder which normally develops in adolescence on black skin and is identified by smooth, dome shaped, brown to black papules seen mainly on the cheeks, neck and upper chest.
